Rodolfo Vieira vs. Wellington Thurman
Has Rodolfo Vieira learned his lesson? When Vieira went against Anthony Hernandez he was a MASSIVE favorite (-500) and he got incredibly fatigued fast, and ended up getting submitted. He rebounded with a first round win against Dustin Stoltzfus, but that didnt prove much in terms of an improved gas tank. Wellington Thurman is a seasoned UFC vet who has never been submitted before. I dont see Viera being able to knock Thurman out. Im not super confident on this one, but I am leaning Thurman

Cody Stamann vs. Said Nurmagomedov
Cody Stamann is a guy worth cheering for. Hes dealt with tragedy recently (his little brother passed away suddenly) and hes a nice fighter. At 19-4 he is also no joke. But I don’t see him winning this one. In his last fight he took one arguably the best wrestler in the division (Merab Dvalishvili) and was mauled. I dont see this fight going any different.
Nurmagomedov needs to watch out for Stamann’s power and high pace that he sets, but once Nurmagomedov gets him down I dont think Stamann will be able to get back up.

Michel Pereira vs. Andre Fialho
Andre FIalho come on down! You get to make your UFC debut against Michel Pereira…..lucky guy. Pereira is an exciting fighter who is always looking to make the crowd go nuts with (waste of energy?) moves. But hes a damn good fighter. Hes got finishing ability, and he should tune up Fialho. Fialho is filling in as a short notice replacement for Muslim Salikhov. Fialho has great power so you worry a little that Pereira takes him lightly, like he did with Tristan Connelly. But I think he learned that lesson.

Brandon Moreno (C) vs. Deiveson Figueiredo
This will be a fight where I am watching the scale closely (as I write this the fighters have yet to weigh in.) “Figgy Smalls” is a little battle tank, but he struggles to make the 125 pound weight cut. I think the struggle with the cut played a HUGE factor into his loss to Moreno last June. Not to take anything away from Moreno, hes made me look pretty foolish, but I think FIgueiredo’s striking is better. I think that Figueriedo was humbled a bit in the last fight. Hes realized now that he has to do the weight cut properly, and not waste all his energy trying to get Moreno out of there early. Lets get Figgy wit it.
Deiveson Figueiredo
Francis N’Gannou (C) vs. Ciryl Gane
Raw power vs the technician. This one is a really tough one to predict. Gane has made a lot of heavyweights look foolish. The latest being Derrick Lewis. Now Lewis is NOT N’Gannou. I am not kidding when I say I truly believe Francis N’Gannou could kill a person in the octagon. His power is like something the sport has never seen. Gane is arguably the best technical striker, but it will be interesting to see what happens when he feels the power of god. Eventually N’Gannou is going to connect. Gane is going to pick and pop and use his movement well….but eventually hes going to get hit. And what happens then? “Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face” was something Mike Tyson was famous for saying. I think when Gane gets hit by N’Gannou he goes to sleep.
