See what was brewing with Jen Scordo today. Every day on The Best Show Ever? Jen Scordo shares a few recent weird and interesting news stories. Today that includes a 13 year old player professional soccer and Tom Brady got serenaded by local Birmingham City fans… Here are her stories from today.

Da’vian Kimbrough is a 12 year old soccer player that has recently signed with a professional team in Sacramento, California.  He’s the youngest player to ever do so.  He signed a contract with the Sacramento Republic of the second tier League Championship of the United Soccer League.  He’s now officially the youngest professional team sport athlete in the United States.  He could make his professional debut as early as this weekend against the Birmingham Legion. Kimbrough was born on February 18, 2010.  Previously, Maximo Carrizo signed with Major League Soccer’s New York City on his 14th birthday on February 28, 2008, but he has yet to make his MLS debut.

Tom Brady recently became a minority co-owner and advisory chairman of Birmingham City soccer club and he was welcomed up open arms and lovely voices for the Birmingham City home opener this past weekend.  Shortly after he bought into the team, he tweeted that he was going to fly in for the home opener, but nobody knew he was going to stroll into a local pub before the match.  Brady just casually visited a local pub and the fans greeted him with a song.  Birmingham City defeated their rival Leeds in the match.    Brady missed the season opener which was a 1-1 draw against Swansea and he wasn't there for the Blues 2-0 road win over Cheltenham in the EFL Cup.  Brady serves as the chairman of their advisory board, he will help influence sports science, nutrition, and player health.
