Sixers To Debut Their New City Edition Jerseys On Saturday
PHILADELPHIA, PA - MARCH 07: Tyrese Maxey #0 of the Philadelphia 76ers shoots the jump shot against Tony Bradley #13 of the Chicago Bulls in the second half at the Wells Fargo Center on March 7, 2022 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The 76ers defeated the Bulls 121-106.
The Sixers City Edition Jerseys are here. We have seen them take inspiration from The Spectrum, Rocky, and Boathouse Row in the past. And this year they have once again paid homage to a Philly institution. The Reading Terminal Market.
Located on Arch Street in Center City, The Reading Terminal Market has been around since the late 1800s. But it wasn’t until the 80s that it truly grew into what we know today. It now houses some of the best food in the City. Whether you are getting a roast pork sandwich at Dinics, doughnuts at Beilers, breakfast at the Down Home Diner, or a cannoli at Termini Bros, there is something for everyone. It is one of the true gems of Philadelphia.
Now it will be honored on the Sixers City Edition Jerseys. The special jersey swaps out the usual Sixers Blue for a Navy Blue, with red trim, and a font in the style of the Reading Terminal Market’s sign. It also once again features the nickname ‘City of Brotherly Love’.
Thanks to Paul Hudrick from Liberty Ballers, we also have a look at what the court will look like when the Sixers don their City Edition jerseys. Like the Jersey, it features the Navy Blue, and the logo will be a simple 76 in a darker red.
They will make their debut this Saturday for a 1 p.m. game against the Suns.
