Tyrese Maxey Signs 5-Year Max Deal With Sixers
We knew it was coming, they just had to wait for the Paul George deal to do this. but now that George is locked in, they could shift to signing Tyrese Maxey. As predicted, he got the 5-year Max Contract, worth $204 million.
Tyrese Maxey Gets What He Is Worth
The transformation of Tyrese Maxey has been amazing. He went from being a young rising star to one of the best players in the NBA. He is a true superstar now. More than worth the massive contract he just signed.
Maxey averaged 25.9 points per game last season. The 11th-highest total in the league. In the playoffs that rose to 29.8, the 5th most. He shot 37.3% from 3, and 40% from 3 in the playoffs.
He is what you call a certified bucket. Between his great shooting from deep and the acrobatic ways he gets to the rim, he has become one of the most dangerous scorers in the league.

We saw it on full display in game 5 against the Knicks. With Joel Embiid struggling from the floor. Tyrese Maxey stepped up in a big way. 46 points, 9 assists, on 56.7% shooting. He was 7 of 12 from deep. That included 7 points in the last 30 seconds to send the game to OT,
That whole series he proved he deserves this contract. He scored 30 points in 3 of the 6 games and 20 in 5 of the 6. Game 6 was the only game he dipped under 20, but even then he stepped up in quarter 4 to almost win it for them.
The Sixers now have Embiid, Maxey, and George. Most nights, they are going to have the best 1-2-3 on the court. They would have 3 of the best 4 players against any other team in the East, with only the Celtics having the advantage still.
Maxey is here for the long term. Joel Embiid is the present, but Maxey is the future. he will only be 27 when the Paul George contract expires. This is going to be his team one day. For now, he will be the best partner in crime Joel Embiid has ever had.
