Could Howie Roseman be prepared to steal another star from Tennessee? According to one NFL analyst that IS whats happening. Former NFL vet Akbar Gbajabiamila tweeted out late Friday night “BREAKING: Move out the way, Derrick Henry is headed to the Eagles”
But before you go buying your Derrick Henry Eagles jersey here is some food for thought. Gbajabiamila is not known for breaking news. He does serve as an analyst for the NFL Network but his primary job is as host of the NBC show “America Ninja Warrior.” BUT where it gets interesting is Gbajabiamila shares an agency with Henry. So maybe he would have more inside info than others.
The other thing that gives this some credence is the fact that the tweet is so matter of fact. Its not Gbajabiamila speculating a move. Its Gbajabiamila saying it with his chest. All of this is to say, take it with a grain of salt until someone like Adam Schefter tweets it out.
But MAN would this be incredible. Adding Derrick Henry to this offense would be hell for opposing defenses. “King Henry” has led the league in carries 3 times during his career but hes still extremely productive. He rushed for 1,538 yards and 13 touchdowns behind an offensive line that isnt anywhere near the caliber of the Eagles. He comes with a $16 million dollar cap hit and is a free agent after this season.

Jamie Lynch's NFL Mock Draft 5.0
It is that time of the year! NFL (mock) draft season! The draft will go down April 27th-29th LIVE from Kansas City Missouri. The three day event should see Howie Roseman and the Eagles be very active as the team has two first round picks (pick 10 and pick 30) but hold only 5 picks total. Howie could trade down to recoup some picks. He could trade up to grab a player he targeted. He could trade a first round pick for a current stud player who is in a contract battle with his current team, like he did last year with AJ Brown.
The beauty of Howie Roseman is he works in the shadows. Last season no one saw him snagging AJ Brown for one of the team’s first round picks. But he did. He was able to get Brown, and pay him. Something the Titans were not willing to do. They then used the pick they got from the Eagles to draft Treylon Burks. A player who scouts said “Could be AJ Brown.” AJ Brown proceeded to have the best season of any wide receiver to wear an Eagles uniform.
So what about this season?
Our own NFL Draft expert Jamie “The Bro” Lynch is BACK! He is in “the lab” (as the kids say) and has been crunching the numbers. Making phone calls. Watching the tape. Jamie will give you a mock of the top 10 picks, ending with the Eagles drafting 10th overall. “I cant do picks 1-30….I don’t have the stamina,” Jamie told us. “Low motor.”
We kicked it off 3 weeks ago with Jamie Lynch’s Mock Draft 2.0, because I just forgot to include the 1.0. We then improved on it with Mock Draft 3.0. And last week Jamie debuted his Mock Draft 4.0. And Believe it or not, I think we’ve improved on THAT with this weeks 4.0. Make sure to tweet Jamie your thoughts about his picks on twitter @JeLynchJr
