Joel Embiid Could Miss Time After Dislocating Finger
The Sixers may have topped the Thunder on Monday night, but the victory came at a price.
During the first quarter, Joel Embiid dislocated his left ring finger. Despite the injury, which had the digit pointing sideways, he managed to finish the game.
But afterward, the Big Man revealed that team doctors are examining the ligament, figuring out what to do next. According to Tim Bontemps of ESPN, Embiid could miss playing in Thursday’s matchup against the Celtics.
“That’s a possibility,” admitted Embiid, adding, that he wants to play, but will follow doctors’ orders.
