Adam Schefter Gives Eagles Fans A Reason To Have Hope
Following the ugly loss down in Tampa Bay, Eagles fans are spiraling. At 2-2, people are shook, and ready to give up on the season. But this morning Adam Schefter may have given Eagles fans a reason for hope.
Adam Schefter Joins Kincade And Salciunas
Every Wednesday, ESPN Insider Adam Schefter joins Kincade and Salciunas to give his insight from the National level. And today he did give a genuine reason or hope. It is obvious, but also something Eagles fans maybe need to hear.
“It is 2-2. You start over. I presume when they come back, AJ Brown will be back, Devonta Smith will be back, and Lane Johnson will be back. Their guys are back. You would hope and think their brand of Football will be back, and they can start ripping off some wins and stacking them up, that is the hope.”
All of that is fair. They have only had AJ Brown in 1 game and scored 34 points. The hope people had for this team was based on the idea of having AJ Brown, Devonta Smith, and Saquon Barkley all on 1 team. Losing 2 of those 3, plus Lane Johnson, is a massive hit. Having all of those guys back, and healthy, may change things, at least on 1 side of the ball.
That said, there are major concerns outside the loss of those 3. Say having them back fixes the offense, the defense will still be an issue. They are getting nothing from Bryce Huff and Nolan Smith. Jalen Carter is inconsistent. Jordan Davis has only shown up in 1 game. And the middle of their defense is still very soft.
Then you have the Head Coach, who seems lost. His QB does not seem to like or maybe even respect him. His in-game decision-making has left people baffled. And we are seeing the same worrying signs that sunk them last year.

Adam Schefter is right. Getting those guys will make a big difference. This offense should still put up big numbers. But will it be enough to make them a great team, that remains to be seen.
