Anthony Gargano’s Opening Diatribe- The Birds are 4-0
The Birds are 4-0! And Anthony Gargano was feeling the good vibes with this team in his Opening Diatribe this morning.
Here is what Anthony had to say when he opened the show today…
“It’s raining. There is traffic everywhere. It’s cold. And none of it matters. Because the Birds are 4-0 after yesterday’s rain-soaked victory. They showed some toughness. That was a good belly win by the Birds yesterday.
I felt it was going to be a lot tougher than we all thought. That was a great belly win. And it was a win highlighted by their offensive line, which dominated that game. The comeback was so impressive. With the weather, it was impossible to throw. You had to run the ball. And so Miles had his best game as an Eagle. Sanders with a statement game. He was tremendous yesterday. 27 carries, he showed you that you can give him the rock on a muddy field. 134 yards, 2 touchdowns, averaged 5 yards carry.
Between him and AJ Brown, they were unstoppable. He’s always open. When have you ever seen an Eagles’ Wr who is always open? Yesterday with the rain and the field, it was miserable. But he was always open. He gets 95 yards.
The defense was the story. It was again a great job by Jonathan Gannon. We’ve been waiting for Hasson Reddick to get unleashed. And yesterday was the day where Reddick ate. He dominated that front. They cut the lead to 14-7. And the next thing you know, you had that good vibe going. They had Sunshine running for his life. He was putting the ball on the carpet. They turned him into a puddle of goo like they turned Wentz into one the week before. The defense was tremendous. They harassed, they attacked.
And ultimately, you get the big win. Come from behind win. You had some adversity, they overcame it. It was yet another good win.”
