Eagles Draft Picks Slip After Week 13
The Philadelphia Eagles lived up to the expectations of many fans in week 13 and they defeated the New York Jets 33-18. The win came thanks to a good run pass ratio, and an accurate game from quarterback Gardner Minshew. OH! And the fact that they played the Jets and the Jets are a dumpster fire.
The win put the Eagles fully in the playoff race at 6-7, which is crazy to think. But they certainly arent the only team currently sitting with a 6-7 record after 13 weeks. The other 6-7 team in the NFL? The Miami Dolphins. Normally we wouldnt care what the Dolphins are doing this season, but the Eagles hold the Dolphins first round pick, so their recent winning ways is down right annoying.
The other team Eagles fans are paying close attention to is the Indianapolis Colts. According to our own Carson Wentz stat tracker, the Eagles havent clinched the Colts first round pick thanks to Carson Wentz sitting part of the 4th quarter. The Eagles (knock on wood) should be able to clinch that third first round pick when the Colts take on the Patriots
As it currently stands the Eagles hold:
12th overall pick
13th overall pick
17th overall pick*
* Colts pick has yet to vest
This is down from the previous week when the Eagles held the 8th, 9th, and 14th pick. The Eagles draft picks have steadily gone down as all three teams (Eagles, Dolphins, Colts) have seemingly righted the ship and gotten themselves into the playoff race. It seems the days of three top-10 picks are LONG gone.
