Brandon Graham Retore His Tricep In The Super Bowl
Brandon Graham coming back from a torn tricep to play in the Super Bowl, in what could be his final game ever, was a big enough story at the time. But there was a twist to that story that not many people knew until this morning when Derrick Gunn casually broke the news in an interview with Kincade and Salciunas. He retore that tricep while playing in the Super Bowl.
Somehow this significant piece of news had been kept under wraps for the past month. We learned about Nolan Smith tearing his tricep, we heard about Cam Jurgens getting surgery for a back injury he had been playing through.
But the fact BG retore the tricep that had kept him out since the Rams game somehow flew under the radar until Derrick Gunn broke the news to us, who apparently saw him with his arm in a sleeve at a Sixers game, and asked about it.
“The ligament he tore, he retore it. He was sitting courtside at a Sixers a few weeks ago, and I said what is this, he told me he retore it and had another surgery on it… Think about how soon he came back when this was supposed to be a 4-6 month rehab and look how quickly he came back to get his moment in the sun… I don’t know how much that is going to weigh into making his decision.”
Will Brandon Graham Retire?
How will that factor into the decision to retire or not? Derrick Gunn doesn’t know yet. He told us that BG does not even know what his choice will be yet. He said BG still feels good, but also he is 37, has accomplished everything a player can hope to accomplish in his career, and is now of course coming off 2 major surgeries.
Whatever his decision is, this is just another chapter in the story of an Eagles legend. BG battled back from injury to help the Eagles win a Super Bowl and re-injured himself in the process. No one can ever doubt BG left everything out on that field.
