Premier League Summer Series Comes To Philadelphia This Weekend
If you are a Premier League fan in America, it can be a bit tough to get to games. When you have to get on a plane and fly across an ocean, just seeing a game in person is not necessarily easy. But this weekend the Premier League is coming to us. This is the inaugural year of the Premier League Summer Series. Six Premier League teams will compete in 9 friendly games across 5 cities in the United States, and it all kicks off this weekend in Philadelphia.

Aston Villa, Brentford, Brighton, Chelsea, Fulham, and Newcastle United are the teams taking part. And the weekend festivities, all hosted at Lincoln Financial Field, includes 3 games. Chelsea and Brighton play on Saturday at 7 pm. Then on Sunday, there will be a double feature of games kicking off at 4 pm with Fulham vs Brentford, followed by Newcastle vs Aston Villa at 7 pm.
There will also be media events throughout the weekend for all 6 teams, starting with Chelsea on Friday at Noon. Brighton speaks at the U90 Soccer Center at 3 pm on Friday. While the other 4 teams all speak between 4 and 5:30 on Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field.
In addition to Philadelphia, the 6 teams will also visit Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ, and FedEx Field in Landover, MD. But Philly is the only city with 3 games and all 6 teams playing.
Tickets for the Premier League Summer Series are still available here. The lowest tickets for Saturday’s game with Chelsea are going for $50. And then it is $40 to see both of Sunday’s games. The games will also be broadcasted on Peacock.
