Don’t Understand The Way Rob Thomson Used The Bullpen
Anthony Talked about his issues with how Rob Thomson used his bullpen in His Opening Diatribe this morning…
“What a tough one last night. it is a shame because it was a good pitchers duel going. They had chances to get to Strider. Again Ranger was terrific. I don’t understand why Rob Thomson is throwing Jeff Hoffman. I just don’t get it. The Morning Show was talking about it, and they are spot on.
Are you kidding me? What are you doing? It is a close ball game and you are bringing him in? That is ridiculous. You got that kind of bullpen? Listen, I love Thomson. He is a great dude. But what are you doing? I just don’t understand it. You have all those arms, and that is where you go against the Braves. John said it about urgency against Atlanta. You have to show urgency. You’re down 8 games…
We had Larry Bow on yesterday, and he talked about how the Braves are just prolific at hitting home runs. You saw it last night. Atalnta’s pop is just unreal. You can’t be throwing out your 6th reliever in a game like that. What are you doing dude? He is frustrating.
Again, he is a great guy. Every button he pushed last year in the playoffs worked. I like him. But I just disagree with a lot of what he does.
That was frustrating. There was bad base running. They were sloppy last night. That was a playoff game. I know it is just June. But in the scope of the season, there are a few games that come in that are playoff-type games. And this series is one of them. I don’t get it. And I worry about some of his decision-making.”
