How is Sixers guard Tyrese Maxey spending his second NBA offseason? Well preparing for the upcoming season obviously, but also by giving up to the community. Maxey will hold a FREE basketball camp for kids ages 7-12 this Saturday (August 6th) at William Penn Charter School. Maxey will be in attendance helping the kids “get 1% better everyday.” Philly is the first of three camps that Maxey will be holding around the country. The second stop is in his home city of Dallas August 13th and then he wraps it up in the city where he went to college, Lexington Kentucky.

Maxey just GETS IT. In two years he has really done well to ingratiate himself to Philadelphia. It doesnt hurt that his on the court performance sky rocketed in his sophomore year and fans are expecting big things from him this upcoming season. Maxey was seen training with Sixers point guard James Harden and Sixers coach Sam Cassell earlier this offseason as the two get ready to make a push for a championship.
