Predicting all 17 Eagles Games: How Many Wins Will They Get?
The Eagles won 11 games last season, but it didn’t feel like it with the epic collapse after the 10-1 start. This year, I have them winning 11, but they will close the year much better than they did last season. Doing the early W’s and L’s is fun this early, and obviously things are subject to change.
Here Are Tyrone’s Predictions for All 17 Eagles Games
Week 1vs the Packers in Brazil (0-1)
The Eagles have their 3rd OC in 3 years and their 4th DC in 3 years. The Packers are the team with better continuity & I think they edge the Eagles in a close one.
Week 2 vs the Falcons on MNF (1-1)
Kirk Cousins isn’t beating them in Philadelphia in a prime-time game.
Week 3 at the Saints (2-1)
People think the Saints have a great home-field advantage, but the data says otherwise. The Eagles offense hangs 35 on them in the dome.
Week 4 at the Bucs (3-1)
This is a revenge game after being eliminated by them in the playoffs last season.
Week 5 Bye
This early bye will lead to an extra loss later in the year when they are playing 13 straight weeks.
Week 6 vs the Browns (3-2)
The Browns end up focusing on what the Eagles have done offensively to start the year. The Browns defense slows them down for the 1st time.
Week 7 at the Giants (4-2)
Saquon may have 300 total yards in his 1st game back there. The Eagles will win by 21 or more.
Week 8 at the Bengals (4-3)
It is not always who you play, it is when you play them. The Eagles come down off the high of a division win and lose on the road.
Week 9 vs the Jaguars (5-3)
Doug Pederson returns to Philadelphia again and loses again. I don’t think Pederson survives the year down in Jacksonville and this loss helps end his tenure.
Week 10 at the Cowboys (5-4)
I think the Eagles are going 5-1 in the division this year, this is the only loss. On the road at Dallas is never easy.
Week 11 vs the Commanders (6-4)
Yes, it is a short week, but the game is at home and the Commanders are not that good. The game will be close, but the Eagles will win.
Week 12 at the Rams (6-5)
The Rams have a future hall of fame QB, and the Eagles have a ton of questions on the defensive side of the ball. This game is a coin flip, but I have the Birds losing.
Week 13 at the Ravens (6-6)
Another elite QB against a very young Eagles defense. I do think they will figure it out, but not this week. This will be the fatigue loss from the early bye.
Week 14 vs the Panthers (7-6)
The Panthers are likely the worst team in football again. The Eagles take their frustrations from back-to-back losses out on them.
Week 15 vs the Steelers (8-6)
I don’t care about Tomlin’s over .500 streak. The Steelers will play hard down the stretch, but who will be the QB? The Eagles win.
Week 16 at the Commanders (9-6)
The Eagles’ young defense will be dialed in by this time behind Fangio. Mitchell, DeJean, and Trotter Jr will all be starting as well. With the young athletic players flying around they win.
Week 17 vs the Cowboys (10-6)
The Cowboys will fire Mike McCarthy after this game. He will have to take his own flight back to Dallas. This will be the sweetest victory of the season.
Week 18 vs the Giants (11-6)
Unlike last year, the Giants will be ready to board the plane for vacation as the Eagles are peaking at the right time. This will cap 5 straight wins to close the season.
This will be a rollercoaster season, a good start, a dip in the middle, and a great close to the season. The Eagles will win the NFC East and win a home game in the playoffs.
