Jordan Mailata Signs A 3-Year $66 Million Extension With Eagles
Jordan Mailata is one of the coolest stories in the NFL. He went from someone who barley knew how to put a football helmet on, to a Pro Bowl LT in a matter of a few years with the Eagles. Now, he will be with the Eagles through at least 2028. He signed a 3-year $66 million extension today with the Eagles, per Adam Schefter.
Adam Schefter on X (formerly Twitter): "This just in: Eagles and LT Jordan Mailata reached agreement on a three-year, $66 million extension that includes $48 million guaranteed and a $20 million signing bonus, per sources. The deal ties Mailata to Philadelphia through the 2028 season. The $22 million per-year average... pic.twitter.com/Svo6Ikvp0B / X"

The new deal makes Mailata the 4th highest paid tackle in the league. Not bad for a guy who knew as little as he did about Football when the Eagles drafted him in 2018.
Jordan Mailata Seals His Place As An Elite LT
Last season Jordan Mailata had the 2nd best Run Block Win Rate among Offensive Tackles. Only his teammate Lane Johnson ranked above him. He and Landon Dickerson, 1st among interior Linemen, made for an elite run blocking duo on the left side of the line. Now both guys are extended long term, and making big money. And they will get to block for one of the best RBs in the league.
Offensive Line has always been a priority for the Eagles. They have made that clear this off-season. As they saw Jason Kelce leave, they made sure to lock up their two young stars on the line.
Outside of those two, they also have Lane Johnson, Cam Jurgens, and Tyler Steen. Lane is 33, so we don’t know how much longer he will be holding down the RT spot. The other two guys still have a bit to prove. Cam Jurgens was okay as the RG, but will now slide into his more natural spot at Center. Steen barley saw the field his rookie season.
That is likely why the Eagles were so keen to lock in the left side of the line. The two of them make up for the most expensive LT, LG, duo in the NFL.
