Kincade And Salciunas Day 2- Haason Reddick Trade Rumors Heating Up?
Today was day 2 of Kincade and Salciunas. We got our feet wet on day 1. Day two flew by with a ton of content and a ton of great contributors. We opened the show talking about the assumed resurgence of the Eagles’ offense and who will get the majority of the credit for it. Would it be the players or Kellen Moore? We then pivoted into a conversation about pressure when it comes to the offense. Does more pressure fall on Jalen Hurts or Nick Sirianni? To me, it is the player(s) that will uplift this team and have more pressure on them.
Why the players when people wanted to fire Nick Sirianni? Because we already have a belief on Sirianni. If the team plays poorly, he will get fired. If they get back to where we expect them to be, the credit will go to Howie Roseman for acquiring Saquon Barkley and Kellen Moore for bringing life back to the offense.
When it comes to pressure, Hurts has more of it on him because this is year one of the new contract and he has new weapons around him. If he doesn’t look like the way he did in 2022, panic will start in Philadelphia. You can always find a new Head Coach. You can’t always get out of big quarterback contracts like they did with Wentz a few years ago. We also know that top quarterbacks are hard to find. I believe in Jalen Hurts, but he has a ton of pressure on him.
Next, we got into the news of the day. Last night Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reported that the Eagles moved Haason Reddick’s 1-million-dollar bonus that was due on March 15th to April 1st. The belief is that he will be traded and the bonus would not have to come out of the cap.
Jeff McLane Gave Us A Haason Reddick Update
First, we spoke to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer. Not only did we discuss the potential trade of Reddick, but we also got his thoughts on the trade for Kenny Pickett. He reminded us of how heavily the Eagles scouted him before Pittsburgh drafted him. This was before we knew Hurts could be a franchise quarterback. Not only is he a cheap backup option, but if he plays well in any opportunity he gets, he could be valued as a big trade chip next off-season.
Kate Scott Breaks Down The Sixers Win over The Heat
We then were joined by Kate Scott who talked about the Sixers’ big win over the Heat last night. That win put them back into the 6th seed in the Eastern Conference. Now they are heading out West for a tough 4 game stretch. Scott believes they could go 2-2. That to me, would be a MAJOR win.
Jeremy Fowler Talks About What The Haason Reddick Roster Bonus Means
Finally, we spoke with Jeremy Fowler who had the Haason Reddick news last night. He talked about what the Eagles could get in return for a trade and also discussed what the national perspective is right now of Jalen Hurts.
Day 2 is in the books. Talk to you tomorrow!
