Chef Vola’s In Atlantic City Is A Must Try Spot At The Jersey Shore
After this Sunday’s Ben To The Shore Bike Tour, which is a 65-mile bike ride from Philly to Atlantic City that I completed in just over four hours, Pattyann and I had a fantastic dinner at one of our favorite places.
The restaurant is called Chef Vola’s and it is also located in Atlantic City — and, no, in case you are wondering, we did not ride our bikes there too!
The place is just spectacular, and it is a family-run establishment and hidden gem right off the Atlantic City boardwalk. I would recommend it to anyone I know, that’s how much I love it.
The food is served in massive portions and it is just outright delicious. Plus, the service there is top-notch. Our server, Mary Mac, was superb at remembering an extensive list of specials, which between appetizers and entrees, the list had to be around ten different items. There is a reason she has been there for over 25 years!
We got a bunch of stuff, including a tomato and blue cheese appetizer, which was delicious, and, a New York strip steak with crab meat, which was so good! But the bone-in veal parm is the best!
By the way, did I mention it is BYOB too?
The place is very unique and not your typical restaurant! But don’t take my word for it, here is a piece published in the Philadelphia Inquirer by Beth D’Addono:
Don’t trust either of us? How about some words published in The New York Times by Bill Kent:
What a cool place to eat! If you ever find yourself in Atlantic City, you definitely have to stop by!
