But if you are sick of the will they won't they stuff with Dame, there is a new rumor floating around the Sixers. Bulls Insider K.C. Johnson, who covers the team for NBC Chicago, is reporting both the Sixers and the Trailblazers have had talks with the Bulls concerning Zach Lavine. You can read about his reporting on the story here.

Now it needs to be said K.C. is saying that for now, those conversations have not gone anywhere. But it is notable that the conversations have happened. Zach Lavine has been connected to the Sixers a few times in the past. His name was thrown around when the Ben Simmons trade stuff went down. But that never materialized into anything concrete.
But now his name is popping up again. What would the Sixers be giving up? That much is not clear. If the Sixers won't give up Tyrese Maxey for Dame Lillard, it is very unlikely they would give him up for Lavine. But it could be part of a James Harden trade or a Tobias Harris deal.
Lavine averaged 24.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game last season. He also shot 37.5% from 3. Lavine has now averaged at least 20 points per game in every season since 2018. He has been an All-Star in two of the last 3 seasons.
For now, it is just talk. But as Brian Windhorst has said multiple times now, Daryl Morey has something up his sleeve. Could Lavine be the thing Morey is working on? Or is this just the Sixers desperately asking around for any star player to fix the predicament they are in?
