Caitlin Clark, And The Fake Sports Fights People Pick
Recently there have been a bunch of fights in sports that just aren’t real. They are being done because people are bored, both locally and nationally. People are looking for things to argue about, so they have picked some fights. Nationally it is happening with Caitlin Clark right now.
She grabbed the nation when she was playing at Iowa. She is one the most exciting college basketball players male or female to ever live. While a player like Breanna Stewart was much more accomplished in college, Clark also got the media. (Stewart won 4 national titles and was a 3-time national player of the year for the record) Some fans are now flocking to watch Clark in the WNBA and that is also fantastic.
The problem is that many of the low-knowledge fans who know absolutely nothing about the WNBA are now weighing in on things they know nothing about. She is having an up-and-down rookie season. She has been more good than bad, but she isn’t dominating the WNBA the way some misinformed people thought she would.
She went to a bad team like most 1st overall picks, and they are losing a lot. Stephen A Smith, who has likely watched 2 WNBA games in his life is now weighing in and arguing with media members who have watched the league from the beginning. On social media, people are speaking about things regarding Clark that aren’t at all based in truth. It is a phony fight.
Caitlin Clark Not On Team USA
The fight was amplified when on merit Caitlin Clark was left off Team USA for the 2024 Olympics in Paris. Caitlin Clark isn’t upset about it, but now here comes the fake rage.
Clark isn’t one of the top 12 players in the WNBA YET. I have no doubt she will be, but she isn’t right now. They picked the team on merit, so there is no story there unless you want to have a fake fight.
Other Fake Sports Fights
Locally, the current phony fights involve the Phillies’ fantastic bullpen, and the relationship between Jalen Hurts and Nick Sirianni. Anything that anyone has said about the bullpen the last week is rubbish. People just are bored and looking for a problem. The bullpen is very good and that is that.

We have zero clue about the relationship between Jalen Hurts and Nick Sirianni. It is pure June speculation. They could be on the same page. They could not be right now. It doesn’t matter right now.
I know blaming Hurts for any imaginary issues is crazy talk. Sirianni seemed to lose the entire locker room. Not just Hurts. If there is an issue, Siranni must fix it.
