What Happens to All the Super Bowl Winning Gear?
No matter the outcome, stores have to be prepared for both teams before the end of the Super Bowl. Which means there is a ton of Super Bowl-winning Eagles gear floating around.
What happens to the thousands and thousands of worthless t-shirts, hats, hoodies, etc?
According to Good 360.org, the gear will be distributed to places like Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia to people in need of clothing. And it’s not just Super Bowl gear. The NFC and AFC losing team’s gear will also be donated to those in need.
It seems very weird that someone somewhere in the world will be wearing a Super Bowl-winning Eagles t-shirt, but I’m very happy that the gear doesn’t end up in a trashcan and that it can help someone in need.
According to Good 360, the distribution process is pretty simple,
“After the Super Bowl, the NFL sends details about the products to Good360. At that time, Good360 notifies their nonprofit partners that identify need for that particular type of product. As a next step, the items are shipped and stored within Good360’s facilities until there is enough product to fill a container. At that point the product is shipped overseas and distributed to people in need.”
