Dick Vermeil Talks Jalen Hurts & Going Into The Hall of Fame As An Eagle
Sometimes Hall of Fame coaches just swing by the station. Tuesday Hall of Famer Dick Vermeil joined the John Kincade Show to talk about his upcoming charity event “Cool Cars For Kids.” Dick will be heading into the Hall of Fame this year and will be doing so representing the Philadelphia Eagles. It may come as a surprise since Vermeil famously won a Super Bowl with the St. Louis Rams. Vermeil talked about the decision to go in as an Eagle and it was a no brainer.
“I didn’t need any time (to think about it.) I’m going in as an Eagle. I live here, I coached here the longest, this is home.”
This current Eagles team has a big question mark at the quarterback position. Vermeil was asked about his thoughts on Jalen Hurts.
“I see talent. I like his character! My concern is is he ever going to be a gifted passer. Hopefully its there because he has everything else.”
