Sixers Look for Bounce Back Win vs Magic
By Dylan MacKinnon
Things did not go well for the Sixers when they last took the court. The Nets crushed them in their own building by 129-100. The loss overshadowed a night where the story going in was the return of Ben Simmons. It was their first loss with Harden in the lineup. But now two days later, they have a chance to bounce back vs the Magic.
After the loss, James Harden said he viewed the blowout loss as a good thing.
“Tonight was good for us, man. We got our [expletive] kicked. Since I’ve been here, things have been sweet, and we’ve been winning games so tonight was good for us. We get an opportunity to come down to reality, watch the film, and just continue to get better and make sure we’re in the right strides.”- James Harden in comments after the game
Oddly enough, the bounce-back opportunity in a game where they face another player who forced his way off the Sixers. Markelle Fultz. Though Fultz doesn’t have nearly the animosity directed at him by fans or players. At least not anymore. Fultz recently made his season debut after missing most of the season recovering from an ACL tear. So this will be the first time he plays against the Sixers this year.
Tonight will be the 4th time they play the Magic. The Sixers are 3-0 this season, with wins of 101-96, 116-106, and 123-110. The last time they met, Embiid dropped 50pts in just 27 minutes.
