Phillies Fans Need to Make Spencer Strider Miserable Tonight
We want Stider. Those were the words that were ringing throughout Citizens Bank Park last night while the Phillies broke out what would end up a 10-2 lead. The Phillies need one more win, and tonight they need to go through Spencer Strider to get it. The same guy who before the playoffs was joking about how much he hates loud fans, saying that the game does not need fans. Well, he is going to get first-hand experience with the loudest Baseball fans in the league tonight.
The last time he pitched here in the playoffs the Phillies jumped all over him. He gave the Braves two good innings and then crumbled under the pressure. First, it was a long at-bat by Bryson Stott that ended in an RBI Double. A few at-bats later, Rhys Hoskins deposited a ball into the left-field seats for a 3-run HR. Before you know it, the Phillies had hung 5 runs on him, and he was out of the game in the 3rd inning.
Yesterday, Andrew Salciunas asked fans to do something if the Phillies were up late in the game. He wanted fans to start chanting at Spencer Strider, to give him a little taste of what he will be in for in game 4.
And this morning in the first segment of his show, Andrew thanked you all for doing just that and went on about how he is looking forward to making things miserable for Spencer Strider tonight.
Here is what Andrew Salciunas Had To Say About Spencer Strider This Morning:
“And the Phillies fans already got the message across last night. I thank you for hearing my message… 7th, 8th, and 9th innings, you guys started the Strider chants… That guy, who looks like he should be walking around Fishtown right now with his foam coffee, his tight pants, and his weird mustache… I can’t wait for the Phillies to once again ruin this man. Like they ruined him in the NLDS last year. And like they ruined him this year to the point he is cursing at the umpire in game 2. I want Spencer Strider to hate his life for 3 hours tonight. 3 hours of hell at Citizens Bank Park.”
At 8:07 tonight, Strider is going to hear it. We know how much he hates when fans get loud, but let’s make him really hate it. As Andrew said, let’s make his life hell tonight. Make it so he is still hearing the sound of 45,000 Phillies fans cheering at his misfortunate when he tries to get to sleep tonight.
