“As we inch towards kickoff, I still think it is the same type of vibe. I still think when I match up this game, the Eagles are just a better team. They are much healthier than they were. When they are right, the Giants cannot beat the,m. That is not a slight on them. I don’t think the Giants are ready yet. They eclipsed what was expected of them… The Giants are probably feeling good. And they should. They have accomplished something. When they lose, they will go good season. they will feel good about the year.
But this Eagles team, I think it’s poised. They have a huge advantage defensively. I still don’t know how the Giants are going to have sustained drives. The drives that they did so well again the Vikings, I don’t know how they do that against the Eagles. The Eagles are so good up front. The D line is so much better than Minnesota’s. They are going to play a 5-man front. They will collapse, they know it is about stopping Barkley. And every which way I do it, it comes up Eagles.
They may not cover. Though I think they will. It is funny, I went from they are going to win and it will be a little bit of a sweat, to not even feeling that. It is going to be double digits. Maybe 10 pts. It is not going to be 48-22. I think it will be a lower-scoring game. The Giants will try to take the air out of the ball. Which will run clock. The Eagles are up at halftime 10-3, but then go on to win it 24-13, something like that. Maybe they do get the cover.”
