Eagles Gameplan VS Giants Should Look Similar To The Titans Win
Last Sunday the Philadelphia Eagles had arguably their most complete win of the campaign in a dominant performance over the Tennessee Titans. Improving to a league-best record of 11-1. The game plan that they put together should stay the same as they get ready to face the New York Giants.
As the Eagles get ready to face their division rival Giants on the road Sunday, a similar approach could lead them to win number 12. Like the Titans, the G-Men boast a ball control offense led by talented running back Saquon Barkley. Similar to the Titans’ Derrick Henry. New York has a quarterback in Daniel Jones whom they simply ask not to make mistakes and make the right plays when they have the ball. Again, just like the Titans’ Ryan Tannehill. And wide receivers that you really don’t expect to beat you.
So, for Philadelphia, the way to beat New York needs to start by shutting down the run game and force Jones to beat you with his arm. But watch out for his ability to run out of the pocket and make plays that could hurt you. The Eagles’ defenders need to hold contain on the edges. If they do these things, a similar result should be the outcome by the game’s end.
Defensively, the Giants had shown signs of being frisky and causing problems for the opposition. They are doing their part to help the offense stay in the game. Last week the defense did just enough not to lose the game against a hot Washington Commanders team. Instead, they went to overtime. Resulting in a tie that could eventually help them in the end as far as playoff picture goes in the NFC. New York gives up 21 points per game and will let you rack up on yards at 359.8 per. The Birds should be able to have a good day offensively.
The Giants have a surprising 7-4-1 record under new head coach Brian Daboll. But after starting 7-2, they’ve started to go backwards over the latter part of the campaign. They lost two in a row before tying with the Commanders last weekend at home. Philadelphia looks to extend their division rival’s losing ways.
