Anthony Gargano’s Opening Diatribe- A Great Time for Philadelphia
It is a great time for Philadelphia. The Eagles are 6-0, and just got better, and the Phillies are in the World Series. Anthony Gargano discussed that great team, and the impact it is having on us as a city, this morning in his Opening Diatribe.
See What Anthony Had to say In His Opening Diatribe today…
Howie Roseman, you too are the man. Because I love getting Robert Quinn. I know people go he is having a down year. It is a great move. They bolster an area in which they are a bit thin. The only area on this team that is a bit thin is the defensive end. And you get Robert Quinn. Who can still play by the way.
This is a great move. it is a great move. While we were agog by the Phillies, we also have a 6-0 football team. And the Eagles got even better yesterday. The roaring 20s are underway. It is time to party, the roaring 20s are upon us. And there is so much to get to…
The one true place where it is real, and it is organic, is the Stadium. Rooting for a common goal. Sports brings us together… It organically brings us all together. it is the only place where it doesn’t matter, creed, race, or economic status. We are hugging everybody. We are just seeing Phillies fans. And it is real and authentic.
I saw a story, that the Philadelphia police put out. That we have encountered a couple of days in the last month, the first in all of the year that there were no violent crimes. The one day was the Eagles-Cowboys Sunday night game. And during this Phillies run, we had a couple more days where there was no violent crime. And I don’t think that is a coincidence.
I was in that ballpark Sunday night, watching everybody sway and sing as if it was the Great Awakening. There was no difference to me from what I saw Sunday night with people singing Dancing on My Own and High Hopes. It was a thing of beauty.
