But growing up, when he was still a Wrestler and not an Action hero, he always worked better as the heel for me. I want to see Attitude Era Rock.
This weekend he is in Philly for Wrestlemania. It's the first time Philly hosted the event since 1999. The biggest names in Wrestling will descend on the Sports Complex this weekend, including The Rock. And despite his more recent reputation on screen as the good guy, he went full heel in front of the Philly Crowd.
He showed up late. The crowd booed him for being late. So he let the crowd know exactly why he was late.
"The rock was supposed to be here at 4 o'clock is that why you are booing? You are booing because The Rock was late? You wanna know why the Rock was late? Are you sure... you wanna know, why the Rock was late? He was watching YouTube... watching Jalen Hurts lose in the playoffs again... You boo because it is the truth.
The Rock has shown up. You stand there, shut your moth, and enjoy the ride that The Rock is taking you on."
The Rock Knows How To Work A Crowd
It was an effective taunt. The crowd instantly turned on him. As annoying as it is, you have to give the man credit. He knows how to work a crowd.
For those unfamiliar with the event, Wrestlemania is the Super Bowl of Wrestling. It is the biggest event of the year. As we approach the country's 250th Birthday, they chose the original capital city as their home this year. And it looks like we can expect a lot more of Attitude-era Rock when he takes the ring on Sunday Night.
Wrestling fans may want to pay attention to today's The Best Show Ever. There could be some surprise guests from the event joining the show.

"The Immortal" Hulk Hogan celebrates his birthday today (August 11.) If there's one thing fans the world over can agree on, it's this: Hogan had one of the best wrestling themes of all time.
Of course, the Hulkster wasn't the only wrestler with a great theme. In honor of his birthday, here are eight of the best wrestling themes of the 1980s.
Hulk Hogan
Performed and co-written by Rick Derringer, he told Rolling Stone, "It's become one of the biggest records I've ever made…and I'm the guy who did "Hang On Sloopy" and "Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo." (Well...he's not wrong.)
Demolition
Derringer strikes again! His work with the WWF also included this hard rock tag team theme classic.
Jake “The Snake” Roberts
The synth guitar is so menacing, Roberts' theme didn't need lyrics.
“Macho Man” Randy Savage
Savage's use of "Pomp & Circumstance" is so iconic that high school graduates call it the "Macho Man March" instead of the "The Graduation March." (Okay...they don't, BUT THEY SHOULD!)
Mr. Perfect
The only thing more perfect than the late Curt Hennig is this theme.
“Rowdy” Roddy Piper
Oh, Hot Rod...you're just so incredibly missed.
“The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase
The "Money" hook. That laugh. You can't put a price on the brilliance of this theme.
The Fabulous Freebirds
Last, but certainly not least: No "best '80s wrestling theme" list would be complete without "Badstreet U.S.A." The Freebirds were the first wrestlers to have original entrance music, so without them and the vocal stylings of Michael "P.S." Hayes, this entire list wouldn't be possible.
