Bradley Beal Trade Tells Me James Harden Will Be Back

The Sixers are bringing James Harden back. I have no inside information and there has been no report OTHER than the Keith Pompey report that backs my feeling that James Harden will be back. Why am I so convinced that “the Beard” will be back in a Sixers jersey? Its simple; Bradley Beal. Allow me to explain.
Bradley Beal was FINALLY traded this past week in a move that sent him to Phoenix. The NBA star was always in trade rumors because he is extremely talented and was on a Washington team that wasnt/isnt going anywhere. Everyone knew it, including Beal, but year after year he was in trade rumors but nothing seemed to ever be real. This year however, the rumblings seemed to be louder and there seemed to be a real chance that Beal would finally be on the move. So what would the return be for a 29 year old 3 time All-Star? It has to be big right? That kind of player doesnt pop up on th-
……
wait? Thats it? A 97 year old (in basketball years) Chris Paul, Landry Shamet and 2nd round pick swaps?! THATS IT?!
Yes. Thats what the Washington Wizards are getting back for Bradley freaking Beal. Basically, nothing. So what does that tell you? It tells ME that the Sixers could have had Bradley Beal, but didnt want him. And if they didnt want him, then they must know Harden is coming back. Because why in the world would you risk losing Harden, and not getting Beal? If there was a slimmer of doubt in Harden coming back then Daryl Morey probably would have pounced on a deal for Bradley Beal. Beal to the 2 and Maxey takes over the 1. But instead Morey elected not to make a move.
I find it hard to believe a package of Tobias Harris, Furkan Korkmaz, and Jarred Springer wouldnt be better than what the Wizards ultimately got. Harris with an expiring contract and much more appealing to contending teams than a quickly aging Chris Paul.
With the Sixers passing on Bradley Beal I think its became very obvious that James Harden will be back. How long will the contract be and for how much? I have no idea. But after this Beal trade, I am now convinced that James Harden and the Sixers are running it back.
7 Athletes You May Have Forgotten Played In Philadelphia
Some guys we will never forget playing in Philadelphia. Brian Dawkins, Allen Iverson, Jimmy Rollins, and Eric Lindros. These names will be remembered by Philadelphians, even if they were too young to ever see them play. Hell, I know the name Chuck Bednarik, and he retired 30 years before I was born.
But that is not what this list is about. This list is dedicated to those guys most people may not even remember playing here. The guys who spent 1 year or less here, and despite being somewhat notable names, failed to make an impact. The guys who were in Eagles training camp but couldn’t crack the roster. Players the Phillies added as mid-season trades, who failed to make an impact. The guys who spent only a short amount of time with the Sixers, but had big careers elsewhere. Or legendary hockey players who came to Philadelphia past their prime.
You will likely know these names from elsewhere, but how many of us remember seeing them play in Philadelphia? Let’s take a look at 7 well-known athletes, who at one point in their careers played on one of the Philly teams.
Credit to the Sports Hub up in Boston who inspired this list by making one of their own for guys they forgot played in Boston.
