Anthony’s Opening Diatribe- I am Obsessed with Sixers-Celtics
Anthony talked about his obsession with Sixers-Celtics in his Opening Diatribe this morning…
“I watched the Celtics last night. I have a major problem, that I feel kind of alone on. If you listen to me throughout the years, you know I can get on a tangent like a dog with a bone… When I really believe something, I can be almost neurotic, and probably annoying. So I apologize to you guys to start off the show. But I cannot stop thinking about Sixers-Celtics.
I am nervous about it, I am thinking about it, I am obsessed. Maybe that is the word, it’s obsession. I am obsessed with Sixers-Celtics, and the series that is about to happen. Because I almost think the fate of the free world will rest on the result of that series.
And watching them last night… oof… they are good. It drives me insane. They are good. Now I think the Sixers are playing terrific. When they are playing altogether, the matchup is there. I think it is going to be a great epic series. They have a chance to win it. It’s a coin flip. But that just makes me even more neurotic. Because I think it can be that incredible of theater of Sixers and Celtics. It’s all I am thinking about. I went to that game over the Phillies…
And I am watching it differently. I am watching it without the outcome in mind. Because deep down you know Boston is going to win. So I am watching it to try and find weaknesses. Am I just a flaming idiot? I am watching it for weakness as though I am scouting the opponent. But I am so caught up in what is going to happen.
We have Sixers-Celtics and the NFL draft, two of my favorite things, happening next week. And I don’t know if I can handle it.”
