An Australian Man Sets Push-Up World Record
33-year old Lucas Helmke has broken the world record for push-ups completed in an hour. He finished 3,206 push-ups in an hour, that’s 53 push-ups per minute… he broke the previous record that was set at 3,182. He’s been training for 3 years in order to break the record. In order to qualify, he needed to maintain perfect form for each push-up, all in all only 34 – or 1% – of his push-up weren’t allowed. He had to keep his body straight, no bending of the knees or legs and he had to lower his body until his elbows were at a complete 90 degree angle in order for the push-up to count.

Spanish Athlete Spends 500 Days Alone In A Cave
Mountain climber Beatriz Famini spent 500 days alone in a dark cave and just emerged on Monday. She went into the cave as a 48 year old woman and came out a 50 year old. She volunteered to do the feat as part of an effort to explore the effects of isolation. She was 230 feet underground and had absolutely no contact with the outside world for a year and a half. While she was down there, she knitted, exercised, did some artwork and read 60 books. She had a Go-Pro camera and the footage that she made will become part of a documentary. She refused any contact from the outside world, including if a family member was sick or passed away… she missed Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Elizabeth II’s death and other world news that was happening outside of her cave. She mentioned that she stopped keeping track of the days after about 65 and she felt like it was always 4am.
