The Flyers came back to Philadelphia after their Western Canada road trip, which resulted in one win out of the four games played. Philadelphia faced the loss of winger, Travis Konecny, who got injured in a big hit against the Flames. t’s evident that without their best player they struggle drastically on ice when it comes to playing an aggressive offense.

Before he game NFC Champion, Brandon Grahm, made an appearance banging the drum to start off the game.

The Canadians this season have struggled themselves with recently having a Stanley Cup Finals appearance a few seasons ago. However, tonight Montreal played a faster game. With the Flyers having Carter Hart in net that wasn’t enough as the Canadians got two goals in the first period. The Flyers being down 2-0 into the second period didn’t seem to motivate the team as the Canadians were able to get another goal behind Hart. Besides the scoring; Montreal had majority of puck possession, which drastically killed any Flyers momentum. Wade Allison instigated a fight which resulted in 17 minutes worth of penalties.

The third peri0d had a glimmer of hope as Owen Tippett gave them life after making then game 3-1. That was short lived as the Canadians were able to get two goals shortly after that initial goal. Towards the end of the third period Ivan Provorov got his 4th goal of the season making it a 5-2 game.
