VIDEO: Zach Berman Discusses The Eagles Losing Super Bowl 57
Zach Berman from The Athletic has joined the John Kincade show after every game this Eagles season to discuss his takeaways from the game. This season its been a lot of positive talk. The Eagles wrapped up the regular season 14-3 and then dominated their opponents in a way to the Super Bowl. Unfortunately they fell short losing to the Chiefs 38-35.
Zach was asked if there was anything he thinks the Eagles should have done differently;
“I think they should have gone for it instead of punting the ball on the 4th and 3 in the 2nd half… I thought that this was a game where you needed to be aggressive… The reality is that the Eagles were not stopping Mahomes, and I think you have to go for it there despite being on your own side of the field.”
There was an interesting holding call late in the game that seemed to cost the Eagles an opportunity to tie the game late. Many are speculating if the call should have been made or not and Zach gave his thoughts;
“James Bradberry stood by his locker and took every single question… He admitted to tugging the jersey. It’s a really tough call in that spot. By the letter of the law, that’s holding, and I don’t think you can knock the call based on that, but on a 3rd and 8 in the Super Bowl, I think that’s a situation where you let it go a bit.”
