Anthony’s Opening Diatribe- Ready to Fast Forward to the Game
Anthony Gargano discussed his impatience for the Super Bowl in his Opening Diatribe this morning…
“I dont know about you guys, but I could do without today. I could fast forward to Wednesday. Because Wednesday is the middle of the first week. Next thing you know it is Thursday, and then Football Friday. Then the team leaves, I think the team leaves on Sunday. Next thing you know it is Super Bowl week. But this is the tough part. Because we wait… I just want to think about the game man. Yesterday I said I want to enjoy all two weeks of it, like an idiot. And now I’m like, can I fast forward a little bit of it? Because I am dying to get to it.
I am dying to get to this game. I think this could be one of these epic Super Bowls. The Eagles win 33-30 or 33-31. Something crazy. I just feel like it is going to be a great game. It has been such a weird year. A glorious year, but a strange one. The Eagles haven’t been involved in a lot of close games. There are only a handful of games that were close all year long. Which is wild. When you think about the playoffs, it is a rarity that the playoffs are like this. 38-7, 31-7. That is incredible when you think about it. They just rolled the Giants. The second half was a party. And then on Sunday, the second half was a party. Everybody knew the outcome.
But I do not understand this Niners whining going on. It makes no sense to me. I get if you are Niners fan you are upset you lost your starting QB. But what are you going to do? That is the game. They are crying about officials. What are you talking about? You got routed…
What an amazing couple of weeks man. That sets us up for the Super Bowl. It is an incredible time.”
