The Audio Vault- Remembering Kobe Bryant
See what Andrew Salciuans found in the Audio Vault today. They went down memory lane with Kobe Bryant on the anniversary of his passing, celebrated Vince Carter’s Birthday, and went back to a Nick Foles moment that birthed many sound drops used at this station. Here is the lineup from the Audio Vault today.
Kobe Bryant Celebrates the Eagles Superbowl
Sadly on this day in 2020, we lost Kobe Bryant. Despite spending his pro career in Los Angeles, Kobe was Philly through and through. he played his Highschool ball at Lower Merion. And like any Eagles fan, he lost his mind when the Eagles won the Superbowl. One of the best reaction videos to the Eagles winning was Kobe in his Eagles jersey, with his young daughter in his arms, celebrating the victory as many of us did. You can hear the panic in his voice as Tom Brady uncorked the Hail Mary attempt, and then the elation after it hit the ground and we knew the Eagles won. And Andrew pulled that audio for the Audio Vault today.

Nick Foles wins Pro Bowl MVP in 2014
On this day in 2014, Nick Foles won the Pro Bowl MVP. He would of course go on to accomplish much greater things in his second stint with the Eagles. But that 2014 Pro Bowl MVP moment, gave this radio station a ton. Namely, multiple sound drops. “How’s Everyone doing?”, “Let’s make some noise”. And listening back to it may have given us a new one too. “Am I speaking or no?”.
Happy Birthday Vince Carter
Today is Vince Carter’s birthday! The king of the dunk was a human highlight reel, rattling off amazing dunks seemingly every night. And in honor of it being his birthday, Andrew played an iconic moment from his career related to the Sixers, and also a notable dunk titled The Dunk of Death.
