Anthony’s Opening Diatribe- Nick Sirianni Snubbed for Coach of the Year
Anthony Gargano was fired up about Nick Sirianni being snubbed for Coach of the Year this morning, here is what he said in his Opening Diatribe…
“I am freaking pissed off. I am so pissed off today. I’m tired of it. What am I talking about? I am tired of the disrespect that this town gets on a daily basis. Over and over again the slights happen. You tell me how in the world is Nick Sirianni not a finalist for coach of the year? They go 14-3, and two of the losses are with the backup Qb. Are you for real?
Listen I think Brian Daboll is a good coach. They had a nice year. But better than the Eagles? We all love Dougie P. He has Trevor freaking Lawrence. Look at the talent on that team. Are you crazy? How in the world can you pick Doug Pederson over Nick Sirianni? The coup de grace is Shanahan. He is the third finalist. Siriannio presided over the best team in football. Who had them as the best team in football? Nobody did. None of the pundits did. Go back to before the season. What were the expectations before the season? All you heard was Cowboys.
Under Sirianni’s tutelage, Jalen Hurts has become an MVP candidate. Obviously, he gets the lion’s share of the credit. But the coach has something to do with it. He built the scheme around him.
They weren’t the lock one seed going in. They were a borderline playoff team going in for most of the NFL. And he is not a Coach of the Year finalist? That is absurd. That’s anti-Philadelphia. I don’t want to hear anybody likes us we don’t care. I do care, and Im pissed off. This is why I want to secede. I want to become our own little country. They stole the capital from us, so bleep you we are out…”
