Eli Manning Joins Anthony Gargano to Discuss Eagles vs Giants
Former Giants QB Eli Manning (10-21 against the Eagles in his career) joined The Anthony Gargano Show to preview Saturday Night’s game between the Eagles and his Giants. Does he like his Giants in the matchup? He shared his thoughts on the game. And he also dicussed his history with the Eagles. The reception he has gotten when he visited Philly in the past. And about the Manning Cast. Here is what Eli Manning had to say with Anthony Gargano.
His thoughts on the matchup…
“There was a time where the Eagles were playing the best football of maybe anyone in the NFL. Jalen was playing great. They could run the ball. Defense was doing a good job getting sacks and getting turovers. It was tough. They were getting leads on people and getting sacks on the quarterback. That is a great way to play football. But then Jalen got hurt. They’re still very talented. Can still go out and score and win. But there is a little uncertainity.
And that is all the Giants are looking for. Because now they are hitting their stride. They were playing well early, werent playing well in the middle, but now they are playing their best football.. That is the way it can go. Giants can continue to play well, and maybe catch Philly when they arent playing their best football like they were earlier in the year.
(Jalen) hasnt played whole lot of football latley. He has missed some time. Came back the last game. Still has a little bit of an injury. When a player sits out for a little bit you hope he is rusty.”
On Giants Offense Facing a Tougher Test this week than they did vs Minnesota
“(Minnesota’s) defense is not the strongest. Philly’s defense has two great corners on the outside. They can play man, they can be physical, they can get the pass rush. They’re tough. They are tough on defense no doubt.”
