Jeff McLane Discusses The Health of Jalen Hurts’ Shoulder
Should we be concerned about Jalen Hurts’ shoulder? Is there any team of the 4 possible Eagles opponents in the next round we should fear most? What is the status of the other injured Eagles players? Jeff McLane from the Philly Inquirer joined Anthony Gargano to discuss that and more. Here is some of what Jeff McLane had to say.
On the health of Jalen Hurts’ shoulder
“I think there has to be some level of concern. Nick Sirianni came out and said he was hurting bad. And Jalen [pretty much confirmed all of that. Look he was good enough to play and finish the game. He was good enough to win the game. Was he the Jalen Hurts we knew prior to the shoulder sprain? No. But he now has a couple of weeks here. They got that first-round bye. Which is pivotal for him and for several players to rest weary bones. In the case of Lane Johnson give him a little bit more time from that groin injury. Avonte Maddox for his injury. But in terms of the QB, it is something that you still have to wonder how much is it going to affect him. And how much is it going to affect the Eagles and what they can do?”
On What Team, If Any, He Would Fear Most In the Next Round
“The Cowboys are a little bit schizophrenic, but they would probably be the team I fear the most out of the 4 possible teams they could face. And of course, they beat them. But that was without Jalen Hurts, and at home for the Cowboys. The Eagles would be favored. And if they play they way they are capable of playing, I think they would beat them. But… if Dak is throwing like he did against that secondary month ago… then that brings into play the possibility of an upset. But I think all things being equal, those are teams they should beat, and maybe even-handedly.”
