VIDEO: Zach Berman Talks About Where The Eagles Are Amongst The NFL Landscape
The Athletic’s Zach Berman was on the John Kincade Show for his weekly hit (8:10am after Eagles games) to comment on the Eagles improving to 11-1. It is the first time the Eagles have improved to 11-1 since the 2004 season, a season that ended with a Super Bowl loss. After 4 straight weeks of mediocre play (3-1 in that stretch) the Eagles imposed their will against the Titans, winning 35-10 in a game that was never really THAT close.
Zach commented on the performance
“To go from the way they played against Green Bay, running the ball for 350+ yards, to the way they played yesterday, that really speaks well, not just to the way the Eagles are playing now, but what they can do in the postseason… Unless they turn the ball over, they’re a really hard team to stop.”
So where do the Eagles rank amongst the rest of the NFL?
“They’ve beaten decent teams. They beat Minnesota. I mean, Tennessee held Kansas City to 20 points, held Cincinnati to 20 points, and the Eagles put up 5 touchdowns easily. There’s a lack of great teams in the NFL this year, particularly in the NFC, that it’s very real to call the Eagles a heavyweight, and a legitimate Super Bowl contender.”
