Anthony’s Opening Diatribe- How Do You Stop Jalen Hurts?
See what Anthony Gargano had to say about Jalen Hurts in his opening diatribe this morning…
Without Goedert, I was wondering could the offense generate enough. Jalen Hurts. It should be Hurt’s appreciation day. He rushes for 157 yards. Are you kidding me? 17 carries. He averaged 9.2 yards every time he carried the ball. He has such a great strong base. Talk about squats. There was a play where a Packers defensive lineman has him dead to rights. Instead of wrapping, he hits him. And he just bounces off. Just keeps his legs moving, bounces off, and does not go down.
He doesn’t have to throw that much, so he is only 16 for 28. But he makes 2 great throws. The touchdown passes were fantastic. The back-shoulder play to Quez was a great throw. And Sirianni, after the Indy game he comes back with a strong powerful gameplan. Let me just run run run run. 363 yards on the ground. What? Are you kidding me? You’re rolling that kind of yardage numbers. 363. That’s like watching the old Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Look I thought last night was going to be a sweat. The Packers’ backs are against the wall. This is their whole season. I don’t see a blowout. And then boom, 13-0. Now Green Bay comes back. But they just took control. You were playing from ahead again. Where you could just tee off. You have that great offensive line. And you just tee off and pound the football.
I gushed over San Fransico’s run game. They may have McCaffrey, Mitchell, and Deebo. But Garropolo ain’t Hurts. And when you have that kind of weapon at Qb. He is just impossible to stop. How do you defend him?… This offense is just a handful. They are a beast this offense…
