The Audio Vault- Jason Kelce Per Diem Story
See what Andrew Salciunas pulled out of the Audio Vault today. Including a dedication to a gameshow legend, a crazy per diem story by Jason Kelce, Gordon Ramsay’s birthday, and more. Here is the lineup from The Vault today.
Tom Dempsey Sets Longest FG Record
On this day in 1970, Tom Dempsey set the record for the longest FG in NFL history. He booted a 63-yard FG to carry the Saints to a victory and to set a record that would stand until 2013 when matt prater kicked a 64-yarder.
Alex Trebek
Today is unfortunately the anniversary of Alex Trebek’s death. The game show legend hosted Jeopardy for a long time. And one of his most iconic moments was when one contestant shared her passion for Nerdcore hip hop, and Alex took a shot at her, calling people into nerdcore “losers in other words.” And Andrew pulled that iconic Jeopardy moment for the Vault today.
Jason Kelce Per Diem Story
Jason Kelce and his brother Travis have their own podcast. And from that podcast, came a fantastic story from Jason Kelce about how Eagle players used to use their per diem. As he said, whenever you give guys money, they will find a way to gamble it. And apparently what the Eagles used to do is put their names on the cash they got, put it in a bag, and whoever name was pulled out of the bag got all the money. And Andrew pulled that story to play in The Vault today.
Happy Birthday Gordon Ramsey
It is Gordon Ramsey’s Birthday! Gordon is perhaps just as well known for his screaming and insults as he is for his cooking. And to honor one of the world’s most famous chefs, Andrew Salciunas pulled one of his most iconic moments. Gordon got into it with one contestant from his show Hells Kitchen. All Gordon wanted was the two names of the chefs up for elimination, and why, and Joe was not grasping what Gordon wanted. It ended with Joe wanting to fight Gordon, and stating multiple times that he “ain’t no bitch.”
