Anthony Gargano’s Opening Diatribe- Game 3 Tonight
See what Anthony had to say about the Phillies Weekend this morning below…
It’s game 3 tonight, after an incredible Friday and Saturday night… What a weekend it was. The ultimate goal was to get the split, they got the spilt. To come home and take away home-field advantage. We all know it is going to be a long series, and it was important to grab one of the games in Houston. I was being greedy, I wanted game 2 too. But listen, this is a great team this Houston time. We know they can hit. They came back and they hit Wheeler.
But here is the thing that I love about this Phillies team. They just battle back. We saw them come back down 5-0 against Verlander. And they almost did the same thing. Just a matter of a few feet on Schwarber’s HR. A few feet to the left and it is fair, and it is 5-3. And all of a sudden it would be the tight butts in Houston.
That is the thing with this Phillies team, they just come back on you. They believe, and I believe in them. that is why it is 1-1 coming back. It is Halloween, game 3 of the World Series. You know Citizen’s Bank Park is going to be crazy. It will be the Asylum. The Zoo. It is going to be incredible tonight. Halloween Night at Citizen’s Bank Park. It’s ominous. The Astros are going to feel it tonight.
I am not going to sleep on the Matchup, we will see. All the Syndergaard love, your boy, we need your boy tonight. He can’t get rocked like Bailey Falter. At least give us 4 quality innings. You can’t lose the game early. McCullers is good, he is not Framber Valdez. The bats like to hit at home. So let’s go.
