The Audio Vault- World Series Game 1 Intros
The Phillies are back in the World Series. On Friday at 8 pm, we can watch game 1 of their series against the Astros. It is the first time they have been here since 2009 when they lost to the Yankees. They have a tough road ahead of them. The Astros have been considered the best team in the MLB, and they showed why with how they ran through the American League playoffs. But this Phillies team is ready for the fight. And to prepare us for game 1, Andrew Salciunas took a dive into the Audio Vault.
He came out with the introduction to prior World Series game 1s in Phillies history. How did it sound when Harry Kalas introduced the game back in 1980? What about the Wheez kids in 1893? Or the Macho Row in 1993? Andrew thought playing those moments would be a good way to hype us up ahead of Friday. So he grabbed all of that Audio for us today. Unfortunately, they ran out of time to hear what it sounded like ahead of game 1 in 2008 and 2009. But they did get to the other 3. Here is how it sounded ahead of game 1 for those 3 Phillies World Series.
