Bryson Stott Leaves “Geoff From DC” Tickets To Games 4 & 5
This is such a great story! If you ever listen to the John Kincade Show you are probably familiar with regular caller “Geoff in DC.” Dont let the location fool you, Geoff is a transplant who is a DIE HARD Philly sports fan. He routinely calls up the Kincade crew and gives his thoughts on whatever the topic is and it doesnt take many Geoff calls to realize that hes an extremely knowledgeable and rationale Philly sports fan.
Tickets for the NLCS in Philly are a bit expensive. San Diego isnt exactly the sports rabid fan base that Philly is, even though the Padres havent been in this situation in over 20 years. So it wasnt a huge surprise that tickets to the NLCS in San Diego were more than half of what you would pay to see the game in Citizens Bank Park. And San Diego is beautiful this time of year.
So before the series started John, Bob, and Pat mentioned how it might be cheaper to FLY to San Diego and see a game out there then to do so in Philly. They put the word out and Geoff from DC called right up. He explained that he was flying out for both games 1 & 2 because it was simply cheaper.
I don’t believe in luck but I am definitely taking my dad with me to San Diego for game 1 #RingTheBell #RedOctober #HitThatJawn pic.twitter.com/J4uuiXNony

Geoff brought the hoodie featured above to the games and he told Kincade that the picture on the hoodie was of his dad. His dad passed away this Summer and he was a big Philly sports fan, raising Geoff to cheer for all things Philly. They bonded over it, and it didnt feel right being at a game and not taking him along. It was an awesome story and one that Jon Clark from NBC 10 took notice of.
This Phillies fan came from Washington DC to see his Phillies play in San Diego because it’s cheaper to see a game out here than it is in Philly in the NLCS

Geoff Crawley lost his Dad to cancer in July. His Dad is on a sweatshirt sitting next to him for Game 2 🙏 pic.twitter.com/bTa9AMRP1s
The tweet went VIRAL. 589 retweets, 92 quote tweets, and over 8,000 likes. But it wasnt just other Phillies fans who took notice of this awesome story, it was also the Phillies…..as in the players. Phillies rookie shortstop Bryson Stott tweeted Thursday night that he wanted to find Geoff and gift him tickets for the upcoming home series so he, and his dad, could be there to experience playoff baseball at home.
Hey John. If we haven't already, could you get in contact with Geoff I would be happy to leave him 2 tickets for this weekend. Thank you, Sir!🙏🏼🔔 https://t.co/4LSpfzNjr8

Geoff called the John Kincade Show Friday morning and talked about the craziness thats happened since the Jon Clark tweet. He will indeed be in Philly for games 4, and 5 and will be bringing his dad along with him. He also tweeted a message to Phillies fans to start the hashtag #WinItForSkip
Thank you so much to @JClarkNBCS and especially @bryson_stott10 If you are a @Phillies fan, I humbly ask that you help me honor my dad with the hashtag #WinItForSkip (my dad’s nickname) Because they are going to win it all.
