Haason Reddick Wins The Eagles 4th Straight Player Of The Week Honors
It has only been 4 weeks of the NFL 2022-23 season, and the Eagles have already taken home 4 NFC Player Of The Week awards. Every single week, a different Eagle has stepped up, and this week, Haason Reddick becomes the latest honoree. Reddick, who had 4 Tackles, 2 Forced Fumbles, 2 Fumble Recoveries, and 1 Tackle For Loss, joins teammates Brandon Graham, Darius Slay, and Zech McPhearson as an NFC POTW winner.
Reddick put on a dominant performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and there’s a good chance Trevor Lawrence is still seeing the former Temple Owl in his nightmares. The weather played a factor for sure, but it’s great to see one of the Eagles’ big offseaon additions making a huge impact for the undefeated birds. It also shows the versatility of the defense. Brandon Graham won his award after mauling Carson Wentz in Week 3, Darius Slay won his by picking off Kirk Cousins twice in Week 2, and Zech McPhearson, who won the NFC Special Teams POTW in Week 1. That’s 4 different defensive players with indivdual awards, easily the most of any team in the NFL.
Not only have the Eagles dominated the Player Of The Week awards, they also had the NFC Offensive Player Of The Month in Jalen Hurts, and an Air And Ground Award winner in DeVonta Smith. It’s no surprise looking at the Eagles’ record and performance so far, but the individual awards are being raked in in Philadelphia this season. Hopefully the wins continue to follow suit.
