Zach Berman Previews Sunday’s Game vs the Jaguars
The Jaguars and Doug Pederson come to town on Sunday. And to preview that game, Anthony Gargano talked to Zach Berman from The Athletic. What are the matchups to watch? Can the Eagles’ front 4 replicate their performance in Washington? See what Zach Berman had to say below…
On His Feel For Sunday’s Game in Jacksonville
I was surprised by how big the line was. I thought it was going to be a little tighter. They’re a legitimately good team through these first 3 weeks. Defensively, I think the Eagles can get to Trevor Lawrence. he does get the ball out quickly. But as well as they are playing, I think Eagles have the edge there. And on the other side of the ball. I like the matchup for the Eagles WRs. That secondary has some decent long-term players, but they are still getting their footing in the league. So I think the Eagles have some matchups they can exploit.
On If the Defense Can Replicate Their Performance from the Washington Game
“I was so impressed with what that defense did, and I was so impressed with what Gannon did. What jumped out to me was he did blitz. But he blitzed on some of the early downs. And he was able to rush 4 on those later downs. And their guys beat the other guys. I understand Jacksonville is a different offensive line, a different offense than they saw in Washington. But when your guys are getting pressure. And that is where their money is invested, that is where their resources are invested. When you get pressure like they did last week, you will see similar results.”
