Nick Sirianni Speaks To The Media After Win vs The Commanders
The Eagles are 3-0, and the mood in Philly is the highest it has been since the 2017 run. And head coach Nick Sirianni spoke to the media following the great win. Here is what Nick had to say…
On the WR Room Being So Good
“I think we just have really good WRs. Jalen is playing at a high level. Our receivers are outstanding players. With Devonta, AJ, and Quez’s speed, and Dallas being a mismatch, you cant devote all your attention in zone to one guy. And Jalen is doing a good job of finding guys. We talk a lot about route discipline. If it’s man you have to beat the man. It is me vs you. When it is zone, it is about the QB making the right decisions with the Football on time. And it’s about the WRs, the TEs, and the RBs being where they are supposed to be.”
On what Jalen Hurts’ Ceiling Could Be
“I don’t think we have seen Jalen’s ceiling. I know we haven’t seen it. He just continues to get better. So I think it is just the progression that he makes as a player. He is tough, and he loves football. And those are major things that help a guy reach their ceiling. I just think you have seen tremendous progression from him. And he doesn’t make the same mistake twice. We are working like crazy to continue to put him in good positions to make plays. Jalen is seeing the field really well right now. And even if we don’t put him in a position to make a play, he can get us to the right play.”
On Fletcher Cox And Jason Kelce Mentoring Young Guys
“We’ve heard guys say before it’s not my job to make sure this guy is good. But in Fletch’s mind, and Jason Kelce’s mind, it is their job. And they are doing everything they can to help these guys. Because they know at the end of the day it is ‘I am because we are”. Never be threatened by somebody else’s goodness. Understand that when somebody in your position is playing at a high level, it is good for you also. That’s a team. And you don’t get that unless you have captains like we have. And this team is special because of that. This team has special captains and special leadership. Man, I am really happy about that, because that is hard to find.”
