Anthony Gargano’s Opening Diatribe- “That QB Can Win”
The Eagles rolled over the Vikings. And of course, Anthony came in fired up about it. If you missed his opening segment today, here was Anthony’s Opening Diatribe after the Eagles’ Monday Night win.
The Opening Diatribe
What a game. What an incredible performance. Jalen Hurts was sensational! Absolutely played the best game of his life. It was a perfect game. His eyes were downfield. Throwing dimes. Dropping balls in the bucket. There was one ball. He dropped it in between the safety and the corner. He drops it to Goedert. It was tough play to hold on to the ball for Goedert. But it was a beautiful drop in the bucket throw
He saw the field. All that film study paid off.
There was that drive right before halftime. And he orchestrated the drive. What he did was, he navigated, he ran the offense, and he ran it like a Qb. Pre-snap he knew where to go with the ball. There was one play. Verticles on one side, Godert on the other side, manned. It was a perfect read. To me, it was Jalen’s brain that was amazing yesterday. He knew he had Goedert manned up on one side. So he takes it, and that sets up the field goal. He was masterful yesterday. He was a franchise Qb yesterday. That QB that played last night, that QB can win. That was his best game by far.
A couple of those plays with his legs were freakish. The TD run was amazing. They always talk about those squats. He was churning those legs right around the goal line.
But where he really was impressive to me was he kept his eyes upfield. He was an A+ all the way. Tremendous performance.
You can listen to his full opening diatribe below, where he also gets into how impressive Jonathan Gannon’s defense was.
