Bo Wulf Joined Us to Discuss the Training Camp Standouts
Bo Wulf of The Athletic joined “The Best Show Ever?” earlier today. He recently wrote an article where he surveyed Eagles players asking who the biggest camp standouts have been. He discussed that topic with the show, and more. Here is what he had to say.
On The Eagles Camp Standouts
“If I had to pick one guy who was the standout I would have to say AJ Brown. Which probably isn’t a surprise. He’s been that dominant every day. But that is very good news for Jalen Hurts. What we have seen throughout camp, is the connection between Brown and Hurts has been seamless. What AJ Brown brings to the offense is a lot of what Hurts needs in this offense. He didn’t throw the ball over the middle of the field very often last season. Well, guess where AJ Brown wins? Over the middle of the field. He didn’t win much downfield very much, and Aj Brown helps there. I think that marriage is very promising for the Eagles, and very promising for Jalen Hurts. What Brown brings to the offense, is a lot of why this could be a big year for Jalen Hurts.”
On Guys Who Have Earned a Job in Camp
“The two guys that come to mind that have definitely made the team, who were maybe on the roster bubble coming in, are a couple late round picks from last year. Marlon Tuipulotu, and Tarron Jackson. Those two guys I think had a really good camp, and cemented their spot on the roster. After that, you are talking about guys we will find out about tomorrow, guys like Reed Blankenship, Josh Jobe, Jack Anderson, those guys on the bubble… Really you go down the roster, it seems like 50 of the 53 spots are accounted for. I think it is probably a sign this team is deeper than it has been in years past. When it seemed like you were trying to find guys to justify keeping. And now you are trying to find guys to justify losing.”
