Letting The Party Begin: 1
By: Haley Taylor Simon
When the clock hits 6am…it IS time to let the party begin…or for me 6:05.Let me introduce myself, I’m Haley, a producer at the Fanatic. Sometimes I get to work with the John Kincade Show, and I have a lot of thoughts that I’m going to share with you each week.

Game Time: Who are you

The Who Are You Game
Pat will give out a jersey number of a Philadelphia athlete and the person has to guess the athlete who wore the number prior to them. Pat was kind enough to let the person pick out the specific sport.
The first caller picked basketball so Pat threw out the number 21 that Embiid wears, but who had that number before him? Luckily, we have Bob Cooney who was a former Sixers beat reporter. Bob, under pressure, said Thaddeus Young. CORRECT! I always can count on Bob when it comes to anything Sixers related and caller, John, did the same.
Overall this Game Time was a creative way to test your Philadelphia sports knowledge. I find myself naturally looking up different players and seeing who had the number before them so I think out of the games this was one that I would have done well in but this is not an easy game since there are hundreds of possibilities with teams, players, and so much more.
Should Sixers trade Joel Embiid for Kevin Durant?!

“I Love Kevin Durant, that’s tourture!,”Jamie Lynch screamed into the mic which sums up the conversation the guys had. Besides the yelling that I was team Jamie on; I really would not like to see Embiid and Maxey go but Bob Cooney? Yeah, maybe he could be a part of that trade. Pat Egan, who is top 10 funniest people in the world, made the suggestion “I’m ready to throw Bob Cooney into that trade mix because I don’t like this conversation.” Pat and I may not agree on somethings, we’ll get into that another week, but adding Bob Cooney into the trade mix for Durant to save Embiid and Maxey is a common denominator we share.
John would rather do a clean trade with Embiid for Durant then get rid of Tyrese Maxey. Okay, I’m with Jamie, THIS IS TOURTURE. With all the guys having varying opinions on this topic I really side with Jamie and Pat. Sorry, John and Bob, but even writing about this is touture.
Connor is Tired
Connor Thomas is known for a lot of things, tight clothes wearing, can’t smell, and eats food out of a microwave, only. The most “Connor” thing he’s done this week has been falling asleep on air. You really can’t make this one up. All Jokes aside, Connor is a hard working member of The John Kincade Show, but when he told Bob Cooney he could out “Tire” him, he might have taken it a little too far? I personally think this is a solid move. We’re all tired, and Connor taking the initiative of just taking a little nap should motivate us to all sleep when we feel like it; even at work! Let’s all live like Connor Thomas and just fall asleep anytime, anywhere.
Chair Picker
Each week wraps up with “Stand Pat” where Pat recaps each week’s “bloopers” of the show. Jamie Lynch does NOT know sports. Jamie doesn’t even know Jalen Hurts’ number is 1. It’s not 11 or 2 Jamie, c’mon. Another Jamie moment had to do with our producer chair being picked off. Is Jamie Lynch a chair picker, he claims not. While a few good points were brought up as Jamie said he never even sat in that specific chair; it’s still a lie to Pat.
I have sat in the picked chair many times while producing and I really thought it was Jamie this entire time. I know every single person who has sat in that chair and none of them would pick it. It’s not right what’s happening. We need Pat to continue this investigation.
My final thoughts: The John Kincade Show had another stellar week on our airwaves. I truly hope Pat continues looking into the chair gate situation, Connor gets some sleep this weekend, John calms down Bob and Jamie when talking about heated discussions, and until next week, I’ll be listening…..or watching on Youtube.
