Schlereth: “Its Been Amazing To See What The Eagles Have Done The Last 3 Weeks”
Former Pro-Bowl offensive linemen Mark Schlereth joined the John Kincade Show Friday ahead of Sunday’s Eagles vs. Saints game. Schlereth will be working the game and gave his insight on what hes seen from the Eagles as he dove into the tape in preparation for the game. Schlereth, who lives and works in Denver, has been very impressed with the Eagles in the last 3 weeks.
“Its been amazing to see what theyre doing the last 3 weeks. I was jealous watching the film last week against the Broncos and I was wonder why cant (the Broncos) do that. “
Part of the Eagles success has been because the Eagles have stuck to a run game, something they didnt do earlier this year. To Schlereth, its not that complicated;
“Great things happen when you run the ball & when you commit to doing that,” Schlereth told the show. “What Ive seen from this staff is them saying ‘heres what we are. And maybe its not good enough to win the division but its good enough to win football games. And we will put out people in a position to win. Were going to take our young quarterback and instead of running the ball 63% of the time, were going to flip the script and run it 63% of the time.’ What (Sirianni) has done is take the onus off the plate of Jalen Hurts.”
Schlereth talked about the Eagles offensive line, the Eagles linebacker whos impressing him, and what Sirianni is like in a meeting. Listen to the full interview below.
